This is the website for my favourite Hardstyle DJ, Zany, it is used to promote him and his music and also has information about him and a schedule of where he is playing.

The site is done in flash and has rollover elements on some of the links and features a music player in the top corner, other elements include moving imagery and text effects.



Firstly the website is cleanly layout, you can find the links to other pages easily and information is easy to read, when you click the links the page changes and stays in the same style and place as the previous page.



I think the way the layout stays the same and just has the information changing works well as you automatically know where to look for it, the picture also changes when you navigate through the pages, except on the discography page when more links are placed in the side menu so you can switch from his own releases to remixes and albums and cd’s mixed by him, again these are clearly set out to the right of the page.




The image behind the main part of the site is good but I feel it has no relevance to the actual site itself apart from the headphone cables, I think they could have maybe used a picture from a live set or a studio session that has relevance to him.

The music player is neatly spaced out from the rest of the information boxes and the interaction works well, I fell that the headphone image should be slightly smaller as it covers some of the button and text in the player.





This image of the bottom banner shows that the lit up picture is a link, the three to the right hand side do the same when they are hovered over.


The left hand side text is not a link, I feel that it would have been better as link as you can’t copy and paste the text, as a user if you wanted to use the address you would mainly always think that you can click the text and it would link you to the said page, this could cause confusion to the user as it is set out like a link.




Overall I think the website is good, but there is room for improvement, I would definitely make the bottom banner text a link to avoid confusion, the background image is ok as it is but maybe could be something with more relevance, but the site works well and the interaction is generally fine, the layout and text are neatly set out and clear to see the information you are looking for.
