Here are week one of my V-Side avatar, I started by creating my character, I did this by selecting my hair colour, eye colour, clothing and a name, I called my character Raoul van Janssen. After this I started to play the game.
Here are some pictures of my avatar in various surroundings, these where used as my online picture in my profile.
Once I had got into the online environment I started in a place called New Venezia where you can to various places like:
The main plaza
Tyra’s Studio
DJ Am’s LAX Club
And various shops where you can buy things using ‘Creds’ which is V-Sides currency, you get creds by using real money.
After aimlessly walking around to get used to the controls I went on a tour of New Venezia, to do this you meet up with The Guides at the main plaza, on the tour they take you around the hot spots of the Island and tell you the basics of V-Side, this was useful as I learnt the controls and where all the best places to meet people were.
I then went to DJ Am’s LAX Club and started talking to people, I made some friends in this area and also earned some ‘Respekt’, this is how popular your character is, you can earn respekt by competing tasks such as finding all the shops in the three areas of V-Side and by finding secret locations, you also get respekt for adding people to your friends list.
Here is a picture of my avatar dancing, I found a little club called ‘DDD’ in La Genoa Aires North, which is another island in V-Side, I like this part of the island as it plays my favorite style of music so I stayed here for a while, I found that not many people use this part of the island so I moved on to somewhere more populated.
This area was the last one I visited in week one.
Week two:
In week two I started to get a little adventurous and try to find some of the venues and shops so I could earn more respekt, I started in New Venezia and I eventually found all of the shops on that island, I earned respekt points for completing this task and this took me up a level to level 2, I also unlocked some free items.
I then moved onto La Genoa Aires and Rajuka (the third island of V-Side) and completed more tasks.
Upon completing the tasks and finding out that you can get respekt points for rating the music (which are actually real artists) my avatar was bumped up to level 3.
This ends week two of my V-Side adventures.
