No Time, No Space

Here is the final group edit of our one shot film, which was made by me, Ollie, Beth & Jason.
We booked out the equipment and then headed for the bridge that overlooks Upper Parliament Street near the Victoria Shopping Centre, we set up our tripod and video camera and started recording.

After this we transferred the footage onto the pc and began the editing of effects, we sped the footage up by 1300% and then added ghosting effect, zoom blur effect, and a lighting effect with a yellow tint.

Music was then added to the film.

We then came up with a new theme to the film which was one of A Greater Intelligence watching the human race; this gave a better narrative to the film.

With the film being shot as if someone is watching over us, the film give's a sense of Voyeurism, which was used in Alfred Hitchcock’s, 1954 film, Rear Window, where a man was spying on his neighbors from his Rear Window, and the film is mainly shot from the main characters view.
We added a short speech over the video and then exported it.

As a whole I think the video works well and as a good narrative to it and I enjoyed working on this project.

Interesting concept Craig - it’s good to see that you are experimenting. Your clip reminds me of Koyaniquatsi" (see: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0085809/) in the way that you tell your message. You might also like to see these which also work in a similar way: Baraka, Powaqqatsi.
